Having graduated from Plymouth Polytechnic with a BSc (Hons) degree in Geography, Guernsey-born David returned to the Island in 1983.
He joined Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co which evolved into KPMG. Gathering experience from Audit Banking and Trust & Company Audit, he then transferred to the Fiduciary Services Department of KPMG (Orbis Group) in 1987 and became a director in 1997.
Following the acquisition of the Orbis Group by Kleinwort Benson, David was appointed Deputy Head of Corporate Fiduciary Services where he had overall responsibility for the Channel Island employment service; alternative corporate products and custodian trusteeship teams. David was appointed Deputy Head of Private Fiduciary Services in 2004 following a restructuring of the bank’s CI fiduciary departments. In 2007 he joined PraxisIFM as a Client Engagement Director and was Deputy Managing Director of PraxisIFM Trust Limited in Guernsey for nine years from 2010.
His experience encompasses complex trust structures for high net worth clients as well as the control of the financial and non-financial affairs for a large private client section.
