The Compliance Administrator will assist with compliance and risk projects and testing the Group’s systems to ensure compliance with the relevant laws, regulations, the AML/CFT Handbook and other guidance issued by the GFSC.

Two – three years’ relevant work experience in compliance is preferred, however trust and company, pensions or fund administration experience (in particular offshore administration experience) will be viewed favorably. Candidates should also have a compliance qualification at certificate level or an equivalent level qualification in trust, pensions or fund administration.

An understanding of Guernsey’s legal and regulatory framework, including AML and CFT provisions, the ability to take responsibility including prioritising work and meeting deadlines and excellent communication skills and analytical skills are also required.

Working within the financial and investment reporting operation of a group family structure, the successful candidate will play a significant role in producing complicated financial statements and the administration of the structure, as well as the day-to-day supervision of a small team located in Guernsey and Malta. This will involve staff training, delegation of work and ensuring that deadlines are met. There will be an occasional need to travel to Malta.

We seek a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) to take responsibility for the production, and filing and delivery of all financial reporting for Fund clients and management companies and the day-to-day supervision of the operations of management companies and compliance with capital adequacy restrictions.

The successful candidate will have a good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; an understanding of stock exchange rules applicable to financial statements (LSE, AIM, TISE) and the Capital Adequacy Rules applicable to Principle Managers; and up-to-date knowledge of developments in UK GAAP and IFRS.

Looking for a career in financial services? We are looking for high calibre graduates to join our Graduate Training Programme in Autumn 2017. This two year programme provides an understanding of the diverse operations within a progressive financial services organisation. Structured training, on-the-job experience and one or more secondments to another Group office will give you an insight into working in the finance sector and life-long work skills such as decision making, negotiating and communicating.

Excellent academic results including GCSE grade A or above in Maths and English, six other GCSEs at grade C or above, three A levels at grade B or above,  a 2:1 degree  and a commitment to studying for a professional qualification e.g. ACCA; ICSA etc. are required.
